The 1939–1945 Star and the Africa Star are two distinct, but often awarded together, British Commonwealth World War II campaign medals for service in specific theaters, with the 1939-45 Star covering the whole war (Sept '39 - Sept '45) and the Africa Star for North Africa (June '40 - May '43). The "GRJ VI" on the Africa Star stands for George VI Rex Imperator (King and Emperor), identifying the monarch, while "GRJ" (George VI) also appears on the 1939-45 Star, signifying British/Commonwealth service.
These were my grandfathers. I’d love for them to go to go to someone who will cherish and collect war medals
