The 1939–1945 Star and the Africa Star are two distinct, but often awarded together, British Commonwealth World War II campaign medals for service in specific theaters, with the 1939-45 Star covering the whole war (Sept '39 - Sept '45) and the Africa Star for North Africa (June '40 - May '43).
