This is a sterling silver oil-based ballpoint pen from the "Crescent" series of high-end writing instruments, which was released long before the "Plus" series.
It is made of a leather shaft and sterling silver 925.
The shaft appears to have been replaced with wax-treated, vegetable-tanned leather. Originally, it was chrome-tanned goat leather, so you can enjoy the aging of both the silver and the leather. I believe this is a rare pen that doesn't often appear on the market.
I have confirmed that it writes, but the ink level may be low.
