Pure Blue Japan Slub Jeans - Tapered 31”

These jeans were bought from the Rivet and Hide store in London. The jeans have not been washed by me and are only showing some slight crease markings on the back of the leg These are made in Japan, and if you don’t know the brand, here’s some blurb from the R&H website: “Pure Blue Japan is already renowned for its signature 14oz slubby denim. Here, they’ve cranked up the weight and texture to produce a 16.5oz slub cotton selvedge. The denim has a rich, uneven surface that will yield incredible fades over time. Pure Blue Japan’s shuttle looms must be specially calibrated to produce this fabric’s desired surface texture. It’s a labour-intensive and time-consuming task, so this denim doesn’t come around quite as often as we’d like” FABRIC: 16.5oz, 100% cotton Okayama selvedge denim COLOUR: Indigo METHOD: One-wash DETAILS: -Woven in Okayama -Herringbone twill pocket lining -Button fly -Iron buttons -Hidden rivets -Chainstitched hem and waistband -Embroidered "Shoai" leaf emblem on back pocket -Deer skin leather patch ORIGIN: Made in Japan What I can’t remember is whether these are the ‘relaxed tapered fit’ or ‘slim tapered’ variety they make. But I’ve added measurements at knee and thigh (see photos) to help. The photos of someone wearing them are me. The quality of these jeans is excellent. There is no stretch in this material, it has a fantastic texture and they’ll wear in amazingly. It’s probably an age thing for me now - I need jeans with a bit more room, so hence selling.
